These Honey Bee Cupcakes are a whimsical delight for any occasion. Infused with honey and topped with a luscious honey cream cheese frosting, they are as sweet as can be. The adorable honey bee decorations add a touch of charm, making these cupcakes perfect for celebrations or a fun tea time treat.

Ingredients

Ingredients: For the Cupcakes:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

For the Honey Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • Decorations:
    • Yellow and black fondant or icing for honey bee decorations

Preparation

Steps: For the Cupcakes:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and honey until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

For the Honey Cream Cheese Frosting:

  1. In a bowl, beat together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the honey and continue to beat until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until the frosting is smooth and fluffy.

Decorations:

  1. Roll out yellow fondant or use yellow icing to create small bee bodies.
  2. Roll out black fondant or use black icing to create stripes and wings for the bees.
  3. Place the bee decorations on top of each frosted cupcake.
