- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
- 2 1/2 teaspoons gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
- Prepare the Coffee Mixture:
- In a small bowl, dissolve instant coffee granules in 1 cup of warm whole milk. Set aside.
- Bloom the Gelatin:
- In another bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water. Let it sit for a few minutes until it blooms.
- Heat the Cream:
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot cream mixture, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Pour in the coffee-infused milk and add vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
- Set in Molds:
- Strain the mixture to remove any undissolved coffee granules. Pour the mixture into individual molds or ramekins.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
- Serve:
- Once set, unmold the panna cotta onto serving plates. Serve chilled, garnished with a sprinkle of cocoa powder if desired.
