Experience the velvety luxury of our Coffee Panna Cotta. This Italian classic gets a caffeinated twist, marrying the smoothness of cream with the bold essence of coffee for an exquisite dessert.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons gelatin powder
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Prepare the Coffee Mixture:
    • In a small bowl, dissolve instant coffee granules in 1 cup of warm whole milk. Set aside.
  2. Bloom the Gelatin:
    • In another bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water. Let it sit for a few minutes until it blooms.
  3. Heat the Cream:
    • In a saucepan, heat heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat.
  4. Combine Ingredients:
    • Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot cream mixture, stirring until fully dissolved.
    • Pour in the coffee-infused milk and add vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Set in Molds:
    • Strain the mixture to remove any undissolved coffee granules. Pour the mixture into individual molds or ramekins.
  6. Chill:
    • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
  7. Serve:
    • Once set, unmold the panna cotta onto serving plates. Serve chilled, garnished with a sprinkle of cocoa powder if desired.
