Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
    • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
    • 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Instructions:
    1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two opposite sides for easy removal.
    2. Melt Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl or on the stove, melt the butter until it’s completely liquid.
    3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and instant coffee granules until well combined.
    4. Add Butter and Vanilla: Pour the melted butter and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
    5. Incorporate Eggs: Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
    6. Add Flour and Salt: Gently fold in the all-purpose flour and salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
    7. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
    8. Bake: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
    9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Remember that brownies continue to set as they cool, so it’s okay if they’re a bit fudgy in the center.
    10. Cool and Cut: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes, then use the parchment paper overhangs to lift them out of the pan. Place them on a wire rack to cool completely.
    11. Slice and Enjoy: Once completely cooled, cut into squares and enjoy your delicious homemade Mocha Brownies!
