Autumn Glow: Skin-Boosting Spiced Tea Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tsp
loose-leaf green tea
or 1 green tea bag
1 tsp
dried chamomile flowers
or 1 chamomile tea bag
1 tsp
dried hibiscus flowers
1 tsp
raw honey
(optional, for added sweetness and extra skin benefits)
1-2 slices of fresh
lemon
1 small piece of
fresh ginger
(for a warming, anti-inflammatory boost)
1-2 sticks of
cinnamon
(adds anti-inflammatory benefits and warmth)
A pinch of
nutmeg
(optional, for a deeper fall flavor)
2 cups
filtered water
Instructions:
Boil the Water
: Bring 2 cups of filtered water to a boil, then let it cool slightly (about 170°F to 180°F) to avoid burning the green tea leaves.
Add the Ingredients
: In a teapot or large mug, add the green tea, chamomile flowers, hibiscus flowers, cinnamon sticks, and fresh ginger.
Steep
: Pour the hot water over the tea blend and let it steep for 7-10 minutes to let the spices fully infuse.
Strain
: Strain the tea into a mug (if using loose-leaf tea and whole spices), or remove the tea bags and cinnamon sticks.
Add Honey and Lemon
: Stir in raw honey for natural sweetness and a squeeze of lemon for a refreshing, vitamin-rich finish.
Garnish and Serve
: Add a pinch of nutmeg on top for a cozy fall flavor, and serve warm for a soothing, skin-loving tea.
Optional Fall Boosts:
Clove
: Add a few cloves for extra anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
Apple Slices
: Add a couple of apple slices for natural sweetness and added fall vibes.
