  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk (warm, around 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • For the Cinnamon Filling:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Icing:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons 2–3 milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional Decorations:
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Maraschino cherries or cranberries
  • Chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
  1. 1. Prepare the Dough:
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  6. 2. Make the Cinnamon Filling:
  7. In a medium bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until well combined.
  8. 3. Shape the Wreath:
  9. Roll the dough into a large rectangle (about 16x10 inches).
  10. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough.
  11. Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log.
  12. Place the roll on a parchment-lined baking sheet and form it into a circle. Pinch the ends together to seal.
  13. Use kitchen scissors or a sharp knife to cut slits 1 inch apart around the ring, leaving the center intact. Gently turn each cut piece outward to expose the filling.
  14. Cover with a towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  15. 4. Bake the Wreath:
  16. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  17. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  18. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  19. 5. Add the Icing and Decorations:
  20. Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to create a smooth icing.
  21. Drizzle the icing over the warm cinnamon roll wreath.
  22. Decorate with rosemary sprigs, cherries, cranberries, or chopped pecans for a festive touch.
