Description

This classic pecan pie features a smooth, caramel-like filling topped with toasted pecans, all baked in a buttery crust. With a rich flavor and satisfying crunch, it's an unforgettable addition to any holiday table.

Ingredients
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade if preferred)
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Pie Crust
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Flute the edges if desired. Place the pie dish in the fridge while preparing the filling.
  3. Make the Filling
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.
  5. Assemble the Pie
  6. Place the pecan halves in the chilled pie crust, then pour the filling mixture over them. The pecans will rise to the top as the filling bakes.
  7. Bake the Pie
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden. If the crust browns too quickly, cover the edges with aluminum foil.
  9. Cool and Serve
  10. Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing. This helps the filling set, making it easier to serve neat slices.
