- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- Zest of 1 orange and 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Confectioners’ sugar for dusting (optional)
Preparation
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Citrus Zest: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the zest of orange and lemon.

- Pour into Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

- Dusting (Optional): Dust the cooled cake with confectioners’ sugar for a finishing touch.
