Experience the epitome of indulgence with our Coffee-Chocolate Mousse. This ethereal dessert effortlessly combines the robust essence of coffee with the decadence of semisweet chocolate, creating a heavenly treat.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Melt Chocolate:
    • In a heatproof bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate and butter together, either using a double boiler or in short bursts in the microwave. Stir until smooth.
  2. Dissolve Coffee Granules:
    • Dissolve instant coffee granules in 2 tablespoons of hot water. Add this coffee mixture to the melted chocolate.
  3. Whip the Cream:
    • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Combine Ingredients:
    • Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate-coffee mixture until well combined.
  5. Chill:
    • Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set.
  6. Serve:
    • Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or chocolate shavings before serving.
